Now, whether 1415 really is the best time to listen to music is really a matter of opinion. Granted saying that 1415 is an amazing band is also an opinion, but I at least now about the band to argue in their favor. 1415 is a korean two man band consisting of Joo (Joo Seung Geun) on the left, the vocalist and lyricist, and Oh (Oh Ji Hyun) on the right, the guitarist and songwriter.

The music 1415 creates can be fun and upbeat, or jazzy and melodical. One of my favorite songs by them is "I Call You". I found the song "I Call You" as I was roaming on Youtube. I was watching the music video for 1415's song "When It Snows", thinking it was a short film featuring the song, when it was the other way around. What I found a bit odd was the change in songs. At the end of the video, the song featured was 1415's song "I Call You". The melody was so soothing and emotional that I could not stop humming it. What was worse, was that I could not figure out the name since the video I found the song in was in Korean and not comments where telling me the name of the song at the end of the video. After many unsuccessful youtube-search-attempts, I was able to find the official audio video and the song made me burst into tears. I of course had no idea what the words were since I do not understand Korean, but I was moved by the beauty of the vocals and instrumentals of the song. 1415 is a band whose music can be appreciated by anyone, even without understanding the words. It can create emotion of giddy happiness and melancholic thoughtfulness.

1452's live performance of "I Call You" can be found here in their youtube live session. It features the songs:

  1. "I Am Blue"

  2. "When it Snows"

  3. "I Call You"
